Emily is New York based performer and a graduate of Emerson College, where she received her BFA in Musical Theater.
Emily was born and raised in Northern Virginia, where she grew up with a love for reading, music, and the outdoors. She approaches her work with a non-traditional theater sound, fitting more into the folk and indie scene, and has a huge affinity for more classical work, such as Shakespeare and Chekhov.
Emily loves to challenge the idea of "the box"many actors find themselves being squeezed into. Entering an industry so dependent on the idea of "Where do I fit in?" Emily has found herself asking, instead,"What makes me stand out? What do I bring to the team that sets me apart?" Moving forward in her career, she wants to work towards rejecting the idea of "the box" as a whole, and encourages other young actors to do the same.
In her free time, Emily can be found reading a good book, begging her friends to go see Shakespeare in the Park, knitting, or seeing the latest A24 film.
